1. Agreement to these terms

These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Drink and Drive designated driver service ("the Service", "we", "us"). By requesting a booking, whether by phone, WhatsApp, or through this website, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree with any part of them, please don't use the Service.

2. What the Service is

Drink and Drive sends a vetted driver to your location to drive you, and your own vehicle, home safely after you've been drinking. We also arrange drivers for weddings, parties, and private events on request. Bookings are made directly over WhatsApp or by phone call; there is currently no in-app payment or booking system.

3. Where we operate

We currently cover the Western Province of Sri Lanka: the Colombo, Gampaha, and Kalutara districts. If you need a driver outside this area, contact us and we'll let you know what can be arranged. Coverage may change as our driver network grows.

4. Booking, confirmation, and fares

A booking is confirmed once you have received confirmation from us over WhatsApp or by phone, including your driver's details and your fare. We don't publish a fixed price list; fares depend on distance, time of day, and demand, and are agreed with you before your driver is dispatched. If plans change after a driver is already on the way, let us know as soon as possible so we can adjust or reassign.

5. Your responsibilities

• Give us an accurate pickup location and honest details about your booking.
• Make sure your vehicle is roadworthy, registered, and covered by valid insurance. You remain responsible for your vehicle's insurance and condition throughout the trip.
• Treat your driver with respect. Verbal or physical abuse, harassment, or unsafe behaviour will end the trip immediately.
• Wear a seatbelt and follow any reasonable safety instructions from your driver.

6. Our drivers

Every Drink and Drive driver is screened and trained before taking on trips. A driver may decline or end a trip if a customer poses a safety risk to themselves, the driver, or others, if the vehicle is unsafe to drive, or if instructed to do something illegal or unsafe. Where reasonably possible, we will try to help you arrange an alternative.

7. Payment

Payment method and amount are confirmed with you directly, over WhatsApp or with your driver, before or at the end of your trip. Please have your agreed fare ready when your driver arrives at your destination.

8. Cancellations

You can cancel a booking any time before a driver is dispatched at no cost. If you need to cancel after a driver is already on the way, message us as soon as you can. We'll always try to be reasonable, and any cancellation terms for that specific booking will be agreed with you directly.

9. Liability

We take reasonable care in selecting and training our drivers and in providing the Service. To the extent permitted by the laws of Sri Lanka, Drink and Drive is not liable for pre-existing mechanical issues with your vehicle, loss of or damage to personal belongings left in the vehicle, or indirect losses arising from delays, cancellations, or events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

10. Alcohol and safety

The Service exists to help you avoid driving after drinking. We reserve the right to decline or end a booking if a customer's behaviour or condition makes the trip unsafe for anyone involved.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example as our Service or coverage area changes. The current version will always be available on this page, with the "last updated" date shown above.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
