Service questions
A couple of things people usually ask before booking. For how fares are worked out, see our Pricing page or just contact our 24/7 team and we'll talk you through it.
Do you provide drivers for more than one car at an event?
Yes. Message us with your event date, location and how many vehicles need a driver, and we'll arrange accordingly.
Can I book a driver in advance, not just on the night?
Yes. While most requests come in on the night, you can message us ahead of time for a wedding, party, or any planned event.
What is a drink and drive (sober driver) service?
A drink and drive service, also called a designated driver or sober driver service, sends a sober driver to you when you've been drinking. Drink and Drive's driver takes you home in your own car, so you don't drive under the influence and you don't leave your car behind.
Is there a designated driver service near me in Colombo?
If you're in the Colombo, Gampaha or Kalutara district, yes. Book in the app, on our website, on WhatsApp or by phone with your pickup point, any time of day or night, and a Drink and Drive driver comes to you. Outside the Western Province, contact us and we'll say what we can arrange.
Is there a Drink and Drive app?
Yes. The Drink and Drive app is free on the App Store for iPhone and on Google Play for Android. Request a driver 24/7, set your pickup and drop-off, schedule a ride in advance and follow it in real time. The app is optional: you can still book by WhatsApp, phone call or the booking form on our website.
Can you drive my car home after I've been drinking?
Yes, that's exactly what we do. A vetted Drink and Drive driver takes the wheel of your own car and drives you home in it, so you don't have to leave it behind or come back for it the next day.
Can I hire a driver in Colombo for a night out or an event?
Yes. For a night out, message us on the night. For a wedding, party or other planned event, message us ahead with the date, location and number of cars and we'll arrange drivers. We drive you in your own car: we're not a taxi or car rental service.
